«EPSCom qualified as a Standard Supplier of Infineon»

March 17, 2006 – Zug, Switzerland / Munich, Germany

EPSCom GmbH has been qualified as a Standard Supplier of Infineon Technologies AG (FSE/NYSE: IFX). The qualification signifies an important milestone in the relations between the two companies. It underlines the strategic importance of the partnership developed by EPSCom and Infineon through several years of successful cooperation. By assigning the Standard Supplier grade to EPSCom, Infineon also acknowledges high quality of services provided by EPSCom and its reliability as a business partner.

As a key player on the market of semiconductor and system solutions for automotive, industrial and communication applications, Infineon heavily relies on the services and products delivered by its suppliers. To ensure a smooth operation of its value chain, the company has recently introduced a corporation-wide Supplier Evaluation System (SES). All strategically important partners as well as largest suppliers making up 80% of the purchasing volume are evaluated using an extended set of criteria defined by SES. The evaluation allows ranking of the suppliers based on their performance. Those having higher performance are classified as Preferred or Standard Suppliers.

EPSCom develops for Infineon embedded software for system-on-chip devices which are used as core components in the next-generation broadband access equipment. Receiving the Standard Supplier grade from Infineon is for such a small engineering firm like EPSCom certainly a great achievement. According to EPSCom’s Technical Director, Alexander Zhvaniya, the qualification is an outcome of several years of hard work to establish and tune engineering and business processes in the company such that to deliver the maximum value to its customers in a most efficient way. Another important aspect is the strategic focus of EPSCom on the development of long-lasting relations with customers. This reflects in EPSCom’s commitment to ensure that its customers are fully satisfied with the provided services. “Now we see that our efforts really start to pay off. The qualification is an indication for us that we have chosen the right strategy and we are going to follow this strategy in the future.” – concludes Mr. Zhvaniya.
